The Radical Edge Guide For Campaign Strategy

Picture
Someone in a comment to one of my blogs asked me to give specific advice on what they could be doing to help and strategy direction. Well here are my suggestions:

1. Objective-The first thing you need to do is define the campaign's goal before you can achieve. For the Tea Party and the Santorum campaign is to Work towards getting 1144 Delegates. We can not concede the delegate battle by making it seem our only chance is at a brokered convention. Its far from over and we can still reach 1144.

2. Strategy-Very important in any campaign is a gameplan on how to accomplish the Objective of the campaign. The strategy makes up the bulk of a campaign and is divided into several parts:
a). Promotion-It is always important to promote your candidate and you do this through signs, bumper stickers, buttons, word of mouth, social media, etc. It is good to get your candidate's name out there, and get people familiar with his positions.
b). Educated-Vital to any campaign is a group of staff and volunteers that are well informed of their candidates positions. This will allow you to counter any smear or attack with facts. You should also be familiar with your states rules for Primaries or caucuses, and how delegates are allocated. Its always good to be informed.
c). Opposition Research-Just as it is important to know all about your candidate it is just as important to dig into the opponants background and record so that you can share this information with others and allow voters to make a better informed choice.
d). Get Out The Vote-Since votes determine the winners and losers in a political race, it is vitally important to work towards getting as many of your people to the polls as possible. The Santorum Campaign has the Call from Home Effort and it works, people much prefer the personal touch to a robo call.
e). Energy/Enthusiasm-Attend Rallies, Sign Waves, and Campaign Events in your state as often as possible. This serves multiple purposes. One it shows support for your candidate. Two it shows he has energy and enthusiasm behind his candidacy. And finally it serves as emotional fuel to fire you up, re energize your battery from the stresses of a long campaign.
f). Vote-Lastly you got to actually go out and cast your vote. Every vote matters, this years Iowa Caucus is testament to that fact.

3. Grass Roots/Net Roots-A campaign needs volunteers working at the grassroots level or working online as netroots in order to spread its message. Team Santorum has done a really magnificent job organizing, and sharing links, and keeping people informed and updated. Without grassroots a campaign could not succeed as we are the lifeblood that keep it going. Some things you can do at the Grassroots/Netroots level to help:
a). Volunteer-Help out at campaign events
b). Rally-Attend rallies to show your support.
c). Be a Billboard-Wear campaign buttons, put the bumper sticker on your car, wear campaign shirts and hats, wear a Santorum Vest,  and post the sign in your yard. Go all out. Don't be afraid to create your own slogans.
d). Tell your Friends-Talk up your candidate to friends, family, and anyone you meet
e). Blog/Comment/Share-If you are talented write a blog, otherwise post comments, share links like crazy, and stay engaged in the race.
f). Videos/Pics/Graphics-If you are artistic or creative make a video, design, Pic, or Graphic to post. If not make sure that those that others make go viral by sharing.
g). Create a FB page/group-If you are dedicated and have the time create your own facebook fan page or group to show your support for your candidate.
h). Connected-Please remain in contact with your local Tea party and 9/12 groups.
i). Tweet-Don't limit yourself online use multiple social medias.
j).  Design-If you are talented design your own Santorum Shirts, Hats, and Banners.
k). Leadership-If you have leadership skills, take charge in organizing Sign waves, and other events in your area.
Whatever it is you do just BE INVOLVED!

4. Delegates-We need people to step upto the plate and volunteer to be delegates to go to the Republican National Convention in August. It is the delegates that could ultimately decide this nomination. So this is of vital importance.

5. Money-Finally every campaign needs money in order to do a lot of the things they do; like signs, ads, etc. So if you can donate whatver amount you are comfortable with to your candidate.

If we can follow this guide I know that Team Santorum can win!

All-over designs are particularly on trend right now, so look out for a colourful African tribal print or other bold patterned designs when you are out shopping.
